01Whole workspaces

Switch projects and the entire tab-and-split layout switches.

02Real terminal fidelity

PTY output, ANSI color, scrollback, search and alternate screens.

03Private iCloud state

Project identity and layout sync through your own iCloud account.

From download to synced workspace in four moves.

Install the same Developer ID-signed build on both Macs. Constellation keeps machine-specific paths local while syncing the workspace structure between them.

  1. 1
    Install on both Macs

Open the ZIP, move Constellation to Applications, and launch it.

  2. 2
    Use the same iCloud account

Constellation connects to your private CloudKit database automatically.

  3. 3
Add and arrange on Mac one

Choose a project folder, then create the tabs and splits you actually use.

  4. 4
Map the folder on Mac two

Choose that project's local root once. Its synced layout opens against the correct files on that Mac.

Your terminal stays on your Mac.

Synced

Project names and identities, tabs, pane topology, split sizes, selections, and project-relative working directories.

Never synced

Terminal output, commands, environment values, secrets, clipboard contents, URLs, PTYs, session IDs, or absolute local roots.

Put your projects back in their place.
